Smart Reminders

WWM-Tool's reminder system lets guild leaders schedule automated notifications for GvG events, raids, and other recurring activities.

How reminders work

Reminders are configured per guild and send messages to a specified Discord channel, optionally mentioning a role. They can be:

  • Timer-based — Built-in timers for common events (e.g., GvG starts in 30 minutes)
  • Custom — User-defined reminders with flexible scheduling

Setting up reminders

From the dashboard

  1. Navigate to Reminders in the sidebar.
  2. Enable the timers you want active.
  3. For each timer, select:
    • The channel where the reminder will be posted
    • The role to mention (optional)
  4. Use the Test button to verify a reminder before saving.
  5. Click Save to activate.

From Discord

/reminder set #gvg @Raiders 30min
/reminder list
/reminder delete 3

Custom timers

Custom timers allow you to override the default schedule or create entirely new reminder types. Each custom timer includes:

  • Name — A label for the reminder
  • Channel — Where the message is sent
  • Role — Who gets mentioned
  • Time — When the reminder fires

Best practices

tip
  • Use separate channels for different reminder types (GvG, raids, general) to avoid notification fatigue.
  • Test every reminder once before relying on it for a real event.
  • Use role mentions sparingly — too many pings can cause members to mute the channel.
